The Opportunity: The Rural Development Network is seeking full time or part time Data Entry Assistants to support the Estimations team inputting paper survey data into SurveyMonkey.
The estimation process coordinates a network of partner organizations in each community to administer surveys to their clients over a 30-60 day period. The roughly 45-question survey covers topics such as basic demographic information, housing situation, migration patterns, and the kinds of services respondents access in and out of their community. The survey can be completed by clients in person, on a paper copy of the survey, or online via a SurveyMonkey link. Data collected in these surveys will be analyzed and collated into a customized community report detailing the housing and service needs of participating residents.
Position Details: You will be provided with electronic copies of the paper survey data and be asked to enter the data as it reads on paper surveys into the online SurveyMonkey link. Candidates should be able to work at least 10 to 15 hours per week with preference given to candidates who are able to work more. Flexibility in hours so that this work can coincide with other obligations. The candidate must have their own computer equipment and internet access.
Location: We will consider applicants located anywhere in Canada who are willing and able to work remotely. RDN’s office is located in Edmonton, Alberta for candidates who prefer to work in person. Please indicate in your cover letter where you are located.
Salary: $15 dollars per hour
Anticipated Start Date: This position will begin Mid April 2023 and last until approximately the end of May 2023.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- The Data Entry Assistant role requires someone who is familiar with Survey Monkey.
- Experience working on google drive with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong computer skills
